Discipleship

The purpose of Sunday morning classes is to provide a place for Christians to grow deeper in their walk with God.  In a nutshell, this is accomplished by studying the Word of God. At 9:30 on Sunday mornings, we devote our time to a detailed study of scripture and biblical topics, and how to apply the knowledge gained to our daily lives. The Bible is God’s autobiography. There is no better way to get to know the Sovereign God of the universe and His plan of redemption for mankind than to be immersed in His Word, Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22: 21. Joining together as His body and utilizing all the resources available help to make our coorporate study well worth the time. Sharing these studies together is not only enlightening and interesting, but fun!  We highly encourage everyone to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.

Starting off in 2014, Kenan Sprague will be leading a class on “Christianity and Constitutional Civics.” It will be a 6-week study focused on the call for Christians to be involved in government and society, and on learning about the unique system of government established by the founders. Kenen will begin by focusing on the relationship between our faith and our role as citizens, then move into an exploration of the principles of good government, functioning society and specific aims of the Constitution. Kenen will return later in the year to expand on these topics.

On February16, Lee Buchtel will begin a study on the relationship between the natural and the supernatural, including topics such as biblical miracles (particularly the miracles of Jesus), the deception of Satan, Genesis 6: 4 and heaven and earth.
